Higson concludes his zombie apocalypse series as an army of infected adults forces bands of London's young survivors to unite to defeat the undead and pursue a cure. Most of the story is spent organizing the multitudinous and scattered cast, sometimes at the expense of plot lines introduced in previous volumes. The final battle is predictable and gory but rewarding for series followers. (c) Copyright 2017. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. No redistribution permitted.
